Hey y’all, I know we have been pretty quiet this summer. We have all been out and about having adventures and living life, which is what summer is for. Right?
My friend Nikki and I host a podcast for Cleveland Scene Magazine called Two Girls with Glasses. (You can find our past episodes here.) We recently had the chance to host a Google Hangout with the ladies of the Midwest Craft Con and I wanted to be sure to share it here as well as part of our Make or DIY series. Please feel free to share away and or post any questions you have!
The Midwest Craft Con is a retreat for crafters and creative business owners being held in Columbus on February 19 – 21, 2016. As the handmade world continues to gain momentum, the conference plans to help makers navigate the economics of running their own operation. Throughout the weekend, experts will lead lectures, panel discussions and lead hands-on workshops. Our hangout brought together Brit Charek of Cleveland/Akron’s Crafty Mart, Megan Green of Columbus’ Craftin’ Outlaws and Grace Dobush of Cincinnati’s Crafty Supermarket and author of the Crafty Superstar Ultimate Craft Business Guide, which is a book that I found so useful while trying to navigate the world of selling at handmade shows.
