Beach Days

by Brandi McElhatten

I always love visiting the beach. Living along the coast of Lake Erie, there are a handful of large, public beaches in the area. If you are lucky, you know someone who has access to a swanky, private beach.

I lucked out with having family members who live near to the cutest neighborhood beach that is accessible by the public. Fun fact – my husband and I even eloped on the cliff overlooking said beach.

Lake Erie was looking a tad murky today, but the weather was mild enough to hang out for nearly two hours.

I was able to do some beachcombing. Not a whole lot of beach glass today, but I was able to get a few good pieces, as well as lots of brick and old, glazed pottery. I can’t wait for it to get warmer and increase the frequency of our visits.

  1. I love those green pieces. The boys love hunting for rocks, etc. (you know, Minecraft), so I think they will be looking at the beach with a fresh perspective this year.
